Rawai and Nai Harn Phuket area guide

Rawai & Nai Harn, Phuket

The laid-back southern corner of Phuket - quiet beaches, clifftop viewpoints, fresh seafood and island life, with our pool villas right in the middle of it all.

The Area

Southern Phuket's quiet, beautiful corner

Down at the southern tip of the island, Rawai and Nai Harn are where Phuket slows down. This is a green, residential pocket of clear-water beaches, clifftop viewpoints and fresh-seafood evenings - far from the high-rise crowds, yet with everything you need a short ride away.

It is the perfect base for travellers who want the real Phuket: morning swims at Nai Harn Beach, sunsets at Promthep Cape, snorkelling at Ya Nui, and dinner among the long-tail boats at Rawai. Our villas put you right in the middle of it, with your own pool to come home to.

Best beaches in Rawai & Nai Harn

  • Nai Harn Beach - the white-sand flagship bay, 2.2 km away
  • Ya Nui Beach - a sheltered snorkelling cove below the windmill
  • Rawai Beach - seafood, markets and boats to the islands
  • Ao Sane - rocky, reef-fringed and quiet

Top viewpoints

The Windmill Viewpoint and Promthep Cape are two of the most photographed spots in all of Phuket, both a short drive from the villas and unmissable at sunset. For something quieter, hike out to Black Rock from Ya Nui.

Rawai & Nai Harn FAQ

Rawai is the southernmost sub-district of Phuket, covering Rawai Beach, Nai Harn and the surrounding hills and capes. It is about 17 km south of Phuket Town and 40-50 minutes from the airport.

Yes, if you want a quieter, more local base. Rawai and Nai Harn are relaxed and residential, with great beaches, viewpoints and food, while Phuket's busier nightlife in Patong is still a 30-minute drive away.

The Windmill Viewpoint sits on the headland between Nai Harn and Ya Nui beaches, about a 10-minute drive from Green Garden Villas. The road is steep, so a car or experienced motorbike rider is best.

Most guests rent a motorbike or bicycle - both are available within walking distance of the villas. Cars and ride-hailing apps are also easy to arrange for longer trips around the island.

Green Garden Villas offers private pool villas in central Nai Harn, a short walk or drive from the beach, viewpoints, restaurants and markets - with one, two and three-bedroom options bookable direct on this site.
